The Helmet ......
I started with just a plain old Don Post Latex job that I bought from E-Bay. It was the standard un-touched CRAP paint job they come with... wrong green, wrong red, very little and crap battle damage and of course that hideous visor! What the heck is that!
Still it was an experience striping and repainting it, actually it was the first part of my costume I completed. It was after that that I discovered the UK Garrison and carried on to finish a whole costume. I

The Jet Pack ..............
My
Jetpack is a vac-formed one, it is made from HIPs which keeps the weight down.
I sculpted the masters from scratch and sell these ready to paint in my prop store.
Jetpacks can also be purchased ready made from various suppliers on the internet
including Bobamaker.
The Blaster ..............
I don't think you would believe it's made from 40mm black plastic tube, MDF and Sheet Steel. I used pics of a Webley Scott, then photocopied themr up to scale and cut out the individual bits (after working out which bits to make in to one piece!). Then starting with main body hand carved from MDF. Then make the butt out of pine. The barrel was cut from the 40mm tube and a turned bit of hard wood for the barrlel emitter. The hand grip and other greeblies can be bought separately (email me for details). Then glue/screw together and add the only real part, the scope! Spray all over with flat black acrylic, then using a sponge, lightly sponge over with some brown rust coloured acrylic to give it that old/knackered look. I then brushed on off white in random places.
Jet Pack Harness..............
The harness is based on a scuba divers tank harness. It is a copy of the one actually used in the film (see here top right) they can be purchased from websites as the one on the left or can me made from aluminium and webbing just like my copy on the right.
Gauntlets.............
